GoldPhield is looking for a talented and experienced Legal Counsel to for client, a leading player in the energy sector, is seeking a. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of PQE in corporate or commercial law, with a preference for candidates who have worked in the energy industry. This role involves providing legal expertise, drafting and negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including joint ventures, supply contracts, and service agreements.
Advise internal stakeholders on legal and regulatory matters, corporate governance, and risk management.
Ensure compliance with Singapore laws and energy sector regulations, supporting the implementation of compliance frameworks.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as finance, operations, and business development, to drive corporate initiatives.
Handle disputes and manage external counsel when necessary.
Develop and implement internal policies aligned with legal requirements and corporate objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Law from a recognized institution; admission to the Singapore Bar is an advantage.
5–7 years of PQE, with a strong foundation in corporate/commercial legal counsel roles.
Experience in the energy industry is preferred.
Proven expertise in contract drafting and negotiation, with a solid understanding of corporate transactions.
Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Comprehensive knowledge of Singapore's legal and regulatory framework, especially in the energy sector.
