GoldPhield
is partnering with a leading smart energy solutions provider to hire a Senior Sales Manager, Europe, to lead the commercial expansion through the Europe region, identifying new business opportunities. Our client currently holds an emerging position in the European market with significant growth potential. They focus on key segments such as EV, marine, industrial, and grid-scale energy storage. We are seeking a driven, entrepreneurial, and hunter-minded professional to spearhead market penetration and drive new business development across the region. The ideal candidate will have solid experience and knowledge in BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) and EV, or within related sectors such as e-mobility, marine, or specialty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute tailored sales strategies for the European market to drive revenue growth and market share.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across energy storage and electrification segments.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, partners, and key customers, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.

  • Lead commercial negotiations and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closure.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and marketing teams to align sales with business priorities.

  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform strategy and identify emerging trends.

  • Represent at industry events and conferences to enhance visibility and credibility in the European market.

  • Provide mentorship to junior team members and foster a culture of high performance.

  • Deliver accurate forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance insights to senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline; MBA or equivalent is a plus.

  • 8–12 years of progressive sales experience in energy storage, batteries, or clean-tech industries.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing regional sales strategies and exceeding targets.

  • Strong understanding of European market dynamics, customer ecosystems, and regulatory environment.

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

  • Proven ability to work effectively across multi-country, cross-cultural environments.

  • Skilled in using market intelligence and data insights to guide business development.

  • Willingness to travel frequently within Europe.
